Robert

Robert Berridge moved to Stresemannstr in 1990 and has suffered from bad hearing ever since haha. 25 years have now past since he first coalesced his first promotory bookshop way back in...1984.  My oh my the days surely do fly in a place as breezy as Hamburg. He has taken on the food and book industry single-handedly and has managed to fend off the trials and tribulations and wearied pains that afflict anybody dealing with customers for such a long duration, vehicles , even the odd driveby shooting but we wont go into family history shall we now.  So if you do happen to be coincidentaly ambling past and you catch a glimpse of fiery red curls, fear not weary feet, dont work up a fairy sweat - it is only the hobbit that resides at stresemanstrasse 167.

Today was my sisters funeral. A beautiful and fitting service worked out by my other two sisters. We were picked by the limosine and went to the church all were suppoting each other giving constant comfort to mum and dad and each other. Christine was brought into her room accompanied by People, people loving people from Funny girl , a favourite of Chris this song really set the scene and was a real moving description of Christines life and what she felt and how she interacted with other people. The church was full , more like the numbers for a local celebrity, and she was a celebrity in her circles, for us she was our big sister still bossing us about.

The service began with a rousing delivery of Abide with me , chosen by Peter as his favourite hymne also sang at his dads funeral, prays and words to Christine, two old friends Susan and Rowena and a tribute from me

More prayers and then another favourite from our Choir days, she as i were both members as well as Linda in the Cranbourne Church.

Dear lord and father of Mankind

beutifully melodic sounds to  pour real soul into the the end of the bars

this showed me how singing is a real freer of sadness and pain and I sang off my lungs
At the crematorium we parted from Chris all holding hands and singing Moon River as the curtain closed on Chrises earthly part of her journey of life, now she has become part of the whole and again part of us.
